This is Andrew Chopra’s first work for Percussion Ensemble, which premiered on April 17, 2004 at the Jacksonville University Percussion Ensemble concert in Jacksonville, Florida. This recording is a synthesized version using a Roland SC-D70 Sound Canvas. The composition is a further-developed work from a composition assignment. Its instrumentation consists of pan flute, cabasa, conga drums, pandero (a Brazilian type of tambourine), bowls, and zampona effects. In addition, the use of synthesized rainforest sound effects is incorporated as well.
